Dear Members,

I would like to bring to your attention that the American Chemical
Society (ACS) will hold its 237th National Meeting & Exposition, March
22-26, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am inviting you to use this
opportunity to organize symposia on topics related to environmental
chemistry/science/engineering in this large gathering of scientists and
engineers from the US and many parts of the world. We are interested but not limited to various and diverse topics including drinking Water, explosive/perchlorate, nano technology, mining, transport and fate of emerging contaminants in arid climates, and land issues and research.

If you are interested to organize a symposium on a topic of your
preference, please provide me with a title and a brief description by
July 15, 2008. We will still accept proposals for symposia after that
date but the sooner we know about your plans the better.

I appreciate your consideration of my invitation. Please let me know if
you have any further questions. I would also appreciate if you pass
this invitation to others in your organization who may be interested.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I have a total of about 500 old CDs from the past 4 years - none from the last meeting. Since those joining the division will have access (only for 2008) to those, there is no reason for me to hang onto them.
I would suggest the following:
1. Anyone in academia that would like x number to give to students (especially those majoring in ENVR) request the number and I will ship them pronto for free. When they are gone, they are gone.
2. Anyone who participates in or judges science fairs may request some.
